Wedding Photography

I'm an experienced wedding photographer, and I really enjoy photographing weddings! I'll do a great job for you, and I'm sure you'll like working with me. I'm not the lowest priced photographer you can find. On the other hand, my rates are reasonable, my quality is excellent, and I pay attention to details. I'll meet with you and your wedding planner well in advance of your wedding, so we can discuss what you want. I'll meet with you again approximately one week before your wedding, so that I have all the important details of your final wedding plans and what I need to do for you. At your wedding, I'll be completely focussed on doing a quality job for you. I'll arrive very early, at least an hour and a half before your ceremony (earlier if necessary); and I'll dress appropriately. I'll be in regular contact with you, your coordinator, family members and wedding party, to stay informed about special photos that need to be taken, and to be ready for unique moments before, during, and after your ceremony. I'm sure you'll be very pleased with my work, and I hope that you'll give me the opportunity to photograph your wedding. If you'd like, I can put your photos on my website. This makes it easy for you and your guests to order additional prints, and have the prints sent directly to the person who wants them. This is especially convenient for people who come from out of town or have a busy schedule, and it saves a lot of time for everyone. Below are the details which most people want to know right away. I'd be happy to talk with you about it or any other questions you have. The base rate of $795 includes: Up to 6 hours of photographer time Up to 150 photos A set of archive quality 4x6 prints in an album An archive quality 8x10 or 8x12 print of your choice in a protective sleeve Four archive quality 5x7 prints of your choice, each in a protective sleeve Engagement photos: An in-studio engagement portrait is $120 with a wedding package. This will include up to 30 minutes of session time, along with two, color, 5x7 prints and two, black & white, 5x7 prints. Without wedding photography, the cost for this service and the prints is $200. Bride or groom photos: An in-studio bridal or groom portrait is $150 with a wedding package. This will include up to 30 minutes of session time, along with an 8x10 or 8x12 color print; two, color, 5x7 prints; and two, black & white, 5x7 prints. Without wedding photography, the cost for this service and the prints is just $200. On-location photography: Engagement, bridal, or groom portraits can be taken at your special location (home, restaurant, park, etc.). Pricing starts at $300 with a wedding photography package ($400 without), and includes a selection of 4x6 prints along with an 8x10 or 8x12, two, color, 5x7 prints and two, black & white, 5x7 prints. Actual cost depends on what needs to be done to get the photos you want (location, lighting, time, etc.), so we should discuss the details of what you'd like to do. Equipment I use: I use 35 mm Canon cameras, along with Canon's professional sharp-as-a-tack lenses. My main lights are Photogenic and Canon. I use only the highest quality Fuji and Kodak films. This combination of products allows me to produce very high quality prints up to 16 by 20 inches. For digital requirements such as CDs, emailing photos to friends, etc., my negatives are scanned at a very high resolution and color depth, which results in digital files that are as good or better than professional digital cameras.

Photographer Time: There is no charge for travel time up to one hour round-trip, and isn't included in the six hour base time period. Travel time over one hour can either be included in the six hour total, or added on at a rate of $90 per hour, depending on what you want to do.

Additional time is currently $90 per hour, in quarter-hour increments. Additional film and prints are $40 per additional roll. So, for example, if you need another hour and another roll of film, the cost is $130 ($90 for the time, and $40 for the film, processing, and printing).

My photos are printed on Fuji Crystal Archive photo paper, and are guaranteed to last more than 50 years without noticeable change. If you know people who got married 15 or 20 years ago and you look at their wedding photos, you'll already see changes in color or contrast. This won't happen to your photos if I provide them.

Additional enlargements: I don't have "packages" as people sometimes think of them. Instead, I have prices for some combinations you might consider. From there, you decide exactly what you want (with my help, if you'd like), and I will provide you with an exact price for what you want.

The minimum amount for each Deluxe Archive order is $90, and for each Custom order is $120. There is no minimum for Internet orders. All prints are "plus tax". Internet orders will have a handling and shipping charge added.

For photos which will be framed rather than put into an album, they will be cropped for best artistic appearance in my opinion. As a result, a print ordered as an 8x10 print might end up being 8x9 after unnecessary portions are removed.

Photo Albums: Albums come in a very wide variety of styles and capacities. I will be happy to discuss the various options and help you decide on the right album for you. High quality full-size (8x10) pin-hinge albums start at $350 including 12 pages (24 sides) and including photographs (any combination of 8x10, 5x7, 4x6, 5x5). Similar quality 5x7 albums start at $300 including photographs (maximum photo size is 5x7).

Payment: A deposit of $500 is required to reserve your date. This is non-refundable, but can be applied to a postponed date which is within 6 months of the original wedding date. The balance for the photography services is due on the wedding date, immediately after the formal photos are taken. Full payment for additional reprints, enlargements, and albums is due when you order these items.
